Quare bargain!

This is probably going to be my most exciting post yet! I had the absolute pleasure of being apart of the old/new Primark VIP opening in Belfast! The tragic fire that The Bank Buildings endured a few years ago back in 2019 was devastating and I'm so excited for it to be back! Over the past four years a "complex" restoration project has been undertaken at the 237-year-old building, and it's now ready to reopen to the public (ITV, 2022). They have honeslty done such a great job at getting it back up and running, and its bigger and better than ever! So well done to everyone involved, its fab!!

Anyone who is from or lives here knows that The Bank Buildings is such a monumental element of Belfast and I know we have all missed going for a cheeky wee shopping spree to get our fluffy socks and  cosy jammies! I have fond memories before I moved to Belfast of going to Primark every christmas and be absolutley buzzing to get my hands on whatever I could and as my mum would say empty her purse before we'd even left the building. I'm sure you're all just as dying to also empty your purse when it opens on 1st November! (tomorrow, ahhhh)

The reason I wanted to blog about it was because I was honeslty so impressed by the shift that Primark has made with not only how they have transformed this beautiful building, the quality of their clothes but I was also so impressed with the value for money on soo many items! Firstly, they have followed in the footsteps of some of the Primark stores in England, for example Manchester Primark and its 'Friends' themed cafe. They have too installed a cafe and even a beauty salon in the store! Like, I knew it was going to be unlike before but could you have ever imagined going into Primark just to get your nails done?

And it's not just any cafe, its a Disney Cafe! How class is that. I made my way up the stairs and all of a sudden thought I was in Disneyland, it was insane. Goofy and Donald Ducks were acting the clowns as they do and getting pictures with all the kids. It was very nostalgic and just wholesome! So this is a great wee spot to go and chill out after you're about to drop to the ground either because of shopping way too much or the kids are doing your head in. Now I know there are countless cafe's and coffee shops in Belfast, but the prices are so competitive and to top it off the coffee is class! You can get yourself a latte for £2.75, but if youre not a latte lover you can grab an Americano for only £2.55. I cant remember the last time I got a latte that was this affordable!

Thanks for reading folks, get yourselves down to Primark and get yourselves a bargain!!

This is my wee blog about Belfast and all the class wee things it has to offer! You wouldn't be long getting frostbit now that it costs a leg and arm to even breathe (many thanks to our gover .... nvm ) so I am here to help save you some coin and make sure your guddies aren't scrappers. I'll be bringing hints and tips for places to shop, eat, drink (probably the one thing I don't need to tell Irish people how to do) and also show you fun and quirky places that you didn't even know existed, at the expense of me dragging myself out of my house away from my cave.       I can't lie to you, I gave myself a good oul pat on the back for coming up with the name '...

Late night thoughts 💭

Let’s normalise not always being on top of everything at all times! And I’m not just on about consistently living on a budget however it seems to have a big stereotype of being less than if you are living on a budget or living pay check to pay check.  But I just mean who actually has their **** together at all times?  Social media can make us think that we have to be constantly productive an always on the ball when really it’s not wee buns all the time, like social media makes it out to be.  Let’s normalise:  • Wearing an outfit more than once • Just having a wee gurn - you’ll feel better I promise • Asking for help • Saying no - something I’m not very good at but a work in progress!  I’m not trying to romanticise living on a budget but I think that we shouldn’t feel ashamed or embarrassed if things aren’t always rainbows and sunshines, do you know what I mean but?
